11 May 2020 - Pret A Manger will launch its first retail range on Monday18 May with three organic coffee products going on sale on Amazon.co.uk and in Pret shops, meaning consumers can play the role of a Pret Barista and enjoy the company’s much-loved coffee from the comfort of their own homes.

The range which is available for pre-order on Amazon.co.uk now includes Pret’s Organic Classic Blend Ground Coffee (500g), Pret’s Organic Single-Origin Peruvian Ground Coffee (500g), and Pret’s Organic Espresso Beans (1kg).

Pret’s Organic Classic Blend Ground Coffee is Pret’s signature filter blend with beans hand- picked and grown by farmers in Peru, Honduras, Sumatra and Ethiopia. Roasted until just right, they create a sweet and indulgent cup of coffee with delicious praline and caramel notes.

For those looking for something a little more complex, Pret’s Organic Single-Origin Peruvian Ground Coffee is carefully sourced from lush rainforests in the valley of Cajamarca, in the northern highlands of Peru. Light roasted to highlight the complex, fruity and vibrant character, each sip reveals a flavour profile of citrus and stone fruit.

Pret’s Organic Espresso Beans are used in Pret’s signature espresso blend, sold in its shops across the country. The beans are hand-picked and grown by farmers in Peru, Honduras, Sumatra and Ethiopia. Dark roasted to create a supremely intense coffee with subtle tones of dark chocolate and roasted nuts – this is a blend so popular it sells 80 million cups of coffee in the UK every year.

This move marks the beginning of wider retail offering planned by Pret, with additional products under development for future release.

Pret’s UK MD Clare Clough said; ‘We are extremely proud of our organic coffee, which is carefully sourced from some of the finest coffee growing regions in the world. We also know how much customers are missing it from their daily lives at the moment, so we’re delighted to be launching our first retail range with Amazon.’

‘This marks the first time that our customers can make their favourite Pret coffee at home.’

From today, over 100 Pret shops will also be open across London and the UK. The shops have reopened for takeaway and delivery through 3rd party partners with new social distancing and safety measures in place. These reopenings also allow for daily donations to charity partners to restart.
